Cody joined the Marine Corps right out of high school. He was stationed in 29 palms California serving with 3rd Battalion 11th Marines in Kilo Battery. After his 4 years were up, he moved to St. Louis, MO where he worked for a company called All American Painting as an estimator. Shortly after that he applied to school in Nebraska where his family resides. Cody graduated from the University of Nebraska, Omaha with a degree in Multiple Disciplinary Studies and a minor in Psychology. Upon completion of schooling Cody came to work at Viking as an Estimator.
